Using NWSL Notebook¶
Compare teams¶
Recommended flow:
- Start on Standings for table position + core season metrics.
- Open Teams and pick two clubs to compare:
- season stats
- recent form
- signal state/timeline
- Validate differences in Analytics (leaders/scatter).
Analyze a match¶
- Open Matches.
- Select a match.
- Review:
- summary output
- momentum curve
- related team context
This is the quickest path to connect result, chance quality proxy, and signal context.
Use signals effectively¶
Signals are most useful when combined with table stats:
- standings points/results show outcomes
- signals show behavioral state and trend direction
Read signals as context, not standalone verdicts.
Data quality habits¶
- keep season scope explicit
- check freshness before deep analysis
- avoid single-metric conclusions; corroborate across at least two views
